A collaboration between the 51勛圖厙 and analytics leader SAS has resulted in a joint certificate program where students graduate with both the UB degree and a SAS credential. Graduates of theMS in Analytics and Systems泭硃紳餃泭MBA degree program with a concentration in Analytics Intelligencein the UniversitysErnest C. Trefz School of Businesscan also earn aSAS Certificate in Analytics.
According to Emsi, a labor market analytics firm, last year more than 36,000 unique job postings listed SAS as a required or desired skill for potential employees. That was just in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Many prominent companies are SAS clients and this positions UB to work with them to capitalize upon this opportunity.
Elena Cahill, JD, director of the Ernest C. Trefz School of Business, said that a co-branded digital badge increases a student’s value to prospective employers. This collaboration will give UB students self-confidence as they prepare to enter todays marketplace, Cahill said. Its another example of UBs focus on preparing our students for the future workforce.
SAS partners with more than 300 academic programs worldwide to help bridge the gap between supply and demand for analytical talent across industries. Since its founding at North Carolina State University in 1976, SAS has become one of the largest analytics software firms in the world, reporting $3.2 billion in revenue in 2018.
